In a recent meeting of Christian educators, the subject came up. How do we bring God's love and truth to public schools? The answer is simple. Christian educators who have a living relationship to the Holy Spirit bring God's love and truth every day into the classroom. The trick is to be in touch with the Holy Spirit in such a way that the character of Jesus Christ shows up in the activities of the teacher.
You see, you can separate church from state but you cannot separate faith from state. Whatever a person believes, that he or she brings to work every day. It does not matter the job site, nor the religion or philosophy. What ever a person truly believes, that is what they speak and live in every situation.
At the meeting we spoke of programs and procedures. But, really, what matters is not programs, it is people. People who have invested themselves in Jesus Christ will find that Jesus Christ has invested Himself in them.
Shocking news to pastors and congregations alike: Jesus Christ is still alive and well in the spirits of His believer teachers. The anointing is heavy. Churches looking for revival and the opportunity for "close action" should carefully consider joining "Mission Improbable."
